Upcoming Dates:
March 30th - Quilt Meeting - and you LAST CHANCE to get those UFO's for the UFO Challenge turned in!!
We had a good meeting in February! We had 2 new people come (Nikki and Cathy), as well as a fun trunk show by Diana Minor! See more photos on our Companionship Quilters Flickr page.
Diana has a husband (Steve), and 3 kids, aged 14, 12, and 10 (whom she home schools), as well as 2 cats. She's been quilting for 11 years, and started because she saw a beautiful quilt on a friends' bed. She loves being creative, and has only ever actually followed one (count them "1") pattern. Amazing! Her favorite stores are JoAnn's and The Calico Cat. She loves blue (as you'll be able to see with her pictures). Her quilting tip: don't put buttons on a bed quilt - too hard to wash, lumpy, etc. Diana owns and rides her own Yamaha motorcycle (brave girl)! And the lovely embroidery on her quilts is done by her brother, who has an embroidery business.
Kathy showed LOTS of quilts completed, including this lovely star quilt!
Anne finished her row for Mo's Row Quilt. Isn't it spectacular!?!
And Terry made a quilt based on her daughter's crossstitch design. Terry looked it up herself on the Interned, designed the quilt, and even made a fancy back! Nice work Terry!

We love Diana's quilts! She is always thoughtful in choosing colors and themes and they are beautifully made as well. And, just like the old baker's say, she always includes the most important ingredient: Love.
