Companionship Quilters
A circle of women who have an interest in quilting and who wish to share encouragement and love for each other; a time where women can come together in the safety of God's love and grace and in the sense of unity and companionship that yesterday's quilters embraced. Our group is called "Companionship Quilters" because we come together with caring and love for one another, to share, to support, and to nurture each other. We hope to recreate here the quilting bees that were so important in a Christian woman's life because it was there that she was nurtured by the wisdom of the older ladies, and she modeled for the younger ladies what it meant to be a Godly woman, to care for her family, and to pass down her legacies.
Companionship Quilters is not competitive in our quilt making, but instead a time where we all work with the gifts that God has given us and enjoy each other's friendship. My hope and my prayer for this group is that we participate in and enjoy the making of the quilts of each other's lives.
Quilt Group Meetings
Our regular Quilt Group Meeting is a time to get together and share what we've been working on, learn something, get to know each other better. We meet on the third Monday of each month, (no December meeting) from 6:30pm to about 8:30pm or so in Room 425. A $2 donation is requested to help us cover the cost of batting and supplies for Comfort Quilts the group makes together.Friendship Quilting Day is a day to get together monthly with friends, bring your own projects (or sometimes group projects), and just sew all day in the company of other ladies! They are one Saturday a month in Room 425 at Crossroads Bible Church any time during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm.
