March Group

We had a nice time in March. Linda brought her sister from Chicago, and she didn't seem frightened of us at all! We did have some show and tell from our March Group!

Diana's personally designed Buggy Barn butterflies and dragonflies:

Kathy made a wedding gift - a quilt with an Asian flair, a new thing for her!

And here a couple of closeups. She designed her own fans, and has cute "origami" squares in between the blocks.

 

Val is the first to finish a strippy block quilt - such a cute one!

Cherice's Hunter Star just keeps getting better!

Melanie's Lone Star from a jelly roll is sure fun!

Linda's pink and black is a special request from Jenni - or was it Kristi?

Jennifer's third memorial quilt is turning out nicely. The children these are for will cherish them!

January (and February) Group Meetings

January Group was fun! We had some very unique show and tell's. One was this quilt that Jennifer is making with some friends. It's for the kids of a woman that passed away, made from some of her favorite clothes. They're actually making several - one for each child. Jennifer said it was a unique challenge, as the fabric isn't "normal" quilting fabric - t-shirts, jeans, etc. Really a neat memorial for those kids.

Anne received this really cool quilt from internet quilting friends. It's actually 2-sided because she has so many that care about her!

Melanie made a couple of quilts for her daughters - really nice work!

February group meeting was all about learning the string quilt process, and making some blocks! Apparently I was so enthralled by it all I forgot to take any pictures of us working. (Lame, I know.) Anyway, we had fun, got lots done, learned an easy way to use up on scraps!

January Retreat!

We had fun at January's retreat. As usual, I spend some of my time "planning" or "mulling" or "sitting and doing nothing," according to Sharon :-). I'm deciding what to do with the pretty fabrics...

November Group Pics

Diana made this neat batik quilt, and gave it away, so we only got to look at the picture - although that was pretty great too!

She made a Christmas Quilt, as well as a quilted tree skirt!

Terry made several baby quilts for her grandkids - quite prolific this month!

Linda started this fun quilt at retreat in September, and finished it to show us!

And she also made these 2 baby quilts.

Nan was inspired by this fruit table-runner made by her sister to make a Christmas one of her own!

And Cherice showed us her fun bright stars top all completed!
